Purpose:

The Machine Operator / Fabricator is responsible for operating machinery and fabrication equipment to produce metal parts, components, and finished products while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Essential Duties:

• Perform spot welding as required

• Assist Fabrication Technician A when needed

• Fabricate and assemble structural metal components

• Measure, mark, and prepare materials for cutting and bending

• Design and build templates and fixtures

• Inspect finished work using measuring tools (square, ruler, tape) to ensure specifications are met

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

• Complete additional duties as assigned

Skill, Education, and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to pass a 7-year background check and drug screen

• Ability to work independently and assist in training others

• Strong basic math (shop math) skills

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders

• Previous fabrication or manufacturing experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, push, and pull for extended periods

• Steel toe shoes are required
