Purpose:

Essential Duties:

• • Operate all equipment, machinery, forklifts, etc., in an efficient, safe, and productive manner;
  • Work according to Client orders and specifications;
  • Meet established quality and productivity metrics;
  • Make daily checks and provide basic maintenance on machines as assigned;
  • Keep work areas neat and clean;
  • Receive inventory and enter into system;
  • Greet driver, have them sign in, give door assignment;
  • Confirm appointment is on the receiving calendar (when applicable);
  • Verify and break truck seal when applicable;
  • Unload trucks with no damage to goods, using proper equipment;
  • Physically check incoming loads against packing lists;
  • Identify and report discrepancies between paperwork and physical product received;
  • Ensure inventory accuracy by entering material into database, ideally via the use of an RF gun;
  • Ensure all materials are put away/stored in the correct locations AND correct temperature zone for future retrieval;
  • Use computer locating rules to determine storage location;
  • Put inventory away in correct location without damaging product or equipment;
  • Provide courteous, professional service to both internal and external Clients;
  • Present a positive image of Edge Industrial Staffing.

Skill, Education, and Experience Requirements:

• • Able to read, interpret, and use forms and other visual instructions to perform required work; proficient in operating RF systems;
  • Demonstrates the ability to verbally and/or visually communicate with others;
  • Proactive in anticipating and alerting others to problems with projects or processes;
  • Demonstrates a client service-oriented mindset;
  • High attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Takes initiative and requires minimal supervision;
  • Performs responsibilities efficiently and in a timely manner;
  • Able to adapt to changing workloads and hours;
  • Works well both independently and in a team environment;
  • Demonstrates proficiency in basic mathematics;
  • Possesses basic computer skills or the ability to quickly learn them;
  • May require general warehouse HazMat training.

Physical Requirements:

• • Must be able to operate a variety of equipment, including stand-up forklift, sit-down forklift, order picker, and turret truck;
  • Must be able to perform physical movements such as bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds as part of daily work duties;
  • Must be able to operate computer equipment.
